Hostel Peregrinus is located at Zwierzyniecka Street in the Krakow centre. The street has its beginning next to the majestic edifice of the Philharmonic Hall, from where it?s just two-minute walk to the Market Square ? the largest architectural construction of its kind in the medieval Europe(!). The end of Zwierzyniecka Street is overshadowed by the ?Jubilat? ? a locally popular shopping centre with its origins back in the communist era, the spirit of which still lingers around there.

It takes only few minutes to reach the imposing Wawel Hill, upon which sprawls the Royal Castle, a former residence of Polish kings. The fact that the hostel finds itself in the centre of the citywide network of tram and bus lines means that it is really easy to get to the more remote parts of Krakow.

How to reach us:

  1. From the airport:

a)      By bus:

  • No. 292 ? runs daily between 4 am and 11 pm. Get off at ?Cracovia? stop, turn right into Aleja Krasińskiego and go straight ahead. Then right before the Dębnicki Bridge turn into Zwierzyniecka Street where you will find our hotel at number 15.
  • No. 902 ? it?s a night time equivalent of the line above. Runs between 11 pm and 2.30 am.

b)      By shuttle train: it?s a fast and reliable alternative to buses. It stops around 200 m from the international terminal of the Krakow airport. The platform can be reached on foot or by getting on a free bus running about every 10 minutes. The train gets to the Main Train Station in the city centre in approx. 20 minutes, regardless of the traffic conditions. For directions from the station to the hotel see pt. 2.

c)       By taxi: we encourage you to use our airport transfer service. It can be booked beforehand by phone or e-mail by providing the reception with the date and time of arrival, the flight number and the number of people. When booked, expect our driver with your name on a card waiting for you at the arrivals lounge. The charge for the service will be added to your accommodation bill.

  1. From the train/bus station:

  • No. 152 ? get off at ?Cracovia? stop and follow the instructions from pt. 1a.

c)       By taxi: there are several taxi stands around the train station. Settle the fare before getting into the car, it should not exceed 20 PLN to reach Zwierzyniecka Street in the night time. We recommend the services of MPT taxi company.
Beware of the unaffiliated taxis as they tend to offer highly overpriced rides, e.g. 90 PLN/km.

d)      On foot: Go down the underpass under the intersection of the following streets: Lubicz, Westerplatte, Basztowa and Pawia. Then head towards the Market Square. Go past the conspicuous building of the Slowacki Theatre on the left-hand side and the old city walls and the Florian Gate on the right-hand side, then turn left into Florianska Street. Go down the Florianska Street until you reach the Market Square and cross the Square diagonally  to get to Wislna Street. Go straight ahead down the street and across the park to reach the Philharmonic Hall at the head of Zwierzyniecka Street, you will find our hostel halfway through the street on the right-hand side. If your luggage is not too heavy, this walk should take about 25 minutes and give you the foretaste of what to expect in Krakow.
